OK, guys! Let's get our funny ideas down for the play. We have two ideas so far - one is the roomba vacuum cleaner and the other is the guy who thought putting a rock in a box would make money - pet rocks!
Start sharing some of your funny ideas here. We want to have a decision made about which idea we're going with by November 11th.
A dad has a pet rock and he and his family go on a five day vacatoin to disney world.When the dad is about to go, he says to the rock "stay rock, stay" then he says "good boy, good boy". "Have a scooby snack". He puts the scooby snack by the pet rock then he leaves. After the man leaves with his family, the pet rock came to life, and calls all of his friend pet rocks on the phone while their family is on vacation. They throw a huge party and practicly desroy the house. Once the family comes back from their vacation, the family goes bananas! They all have to fix and clean everything the pet rock desrtoys.

ReplyDeleteThere is a dust bot, and this guy says to his child vacuum your room. And the kid tell the robot to do it. So the kid turns on the robot and he starts to play video games and dust bot start to vacuum his toys and trophies and so when the adult comes in to the room and it is all messy and he tells the kid he did a bad job. Then the dust bot starts to vacuum him (the kid)

ReplyDeleteJay and Jonathan we want the pet rock idea to work. So we need stories on how the pet rock is a good idea too. Maybe we can use the above ideas for a real pet. The real pet can cause problems maybe and that would be a reason to get the pet rock.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is lonely and so he wants a friend and so he buys a pet rock. And he plays cards with the pet rock. And the pet rock always lets him win. And it watches TV with him. And so he plays with the pet rock and keeps it until he gets a friend. The End.

ReplyDeleteOk - so we decided today to go with the "real wild idea that worked" as the pet rock. So we need information about the person that came up with that idea. Maybe he could be the inspiration for the money maker character to decide "if he can do it, so can I" and he starts to think of ideas that could make him a lot of money. So we need 3 ideas that fail and one that works. We have to think of these... They can't be someone else's real life wild idea. Because if you look at the play it asks you "What is your real life wild idea" So start thinking team. I know you can do it!!!

Robot Pet - if you take him for a walk outside and it rains, his circuits will short out.
Tomato pet - looks pretty until it rots
The human hair pet. put him on your head you can buy clothes. Use left over clipping from haircuts. (Alex)

Movie head phones and googles that you can watch you own movie and tells you if you are going to crash into something. Or a chair that has a typing board that will take you in your house where you want to go.(Porter)

Ok! Great ideas! We think we're going to focus on pet ideas for our script. Here are the ones that work well:
ReplyDelete1. Tomato pet - nurture from the vine only to watch it rot on your countertop
2. Human Hair pet - gather from the barber shop floor, tie together like a haystack and dress
3. Robot pet - we could even involve our favorite roomba idea here as well. The robot pet starts out great, but begins to take over or destroy the house.
4. Now we need an idea that works - or we could amend one of the ideas above to work out and come up with another failure idea. Think about it this weekend and let us know what you come up with!
